At Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥, our elders come first, and this is one special way we say “Quyanna” for your wisdom and for teaching our youth the traditional ways of living.
The Elder Fund was developed by the Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ Board of Directors to ensure elder needs are met for Eye Care, Dental, and Audiology services. If you are 55 years of age or older, are an Indian Health Services Beneficiary, and you are a resident of the Bering Straits region, then you are eligible. Based on the Â鶹ÊÓƵֱ²¥ Board of Directors’ designation, the amount of funds available are limited annually. Once they are spent, the program will be suspended until more funds are authorized.
Only certain products may be covered by the Elder Fund. Travel is not covered. Ask your providers about crowns and dentures, eye glasses and low vision aids, and hearing aids.
