Our culture values the wisdom and experience possessed by our elders. This respect drives the philosophy behind Quyanna Care Center. Quyanna Care Center was the first tribal nursing home in the state of Alaska and one of only 14 tribal nursing homes in the nation.
As our patients age, staying connected to their culture is as important as receiving first-class health care and living assistance. Quyanna Care Center (QCC) offers long-term care to elders from the Bering Strait region, allowing them to live close to home while providing them with high quality medical and personal care.
The staff of QCC strives to maintain our residents’ quality of life in a safe, homelike environment. At QCC, unlike traditional Western assisted living facilities, traditional ways of living are incorporated into every aspect of our residents’ care.
QCC is able to accommodate 18 elders with round-the-clock attention from registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. We encourage ongoing staff training to ensure our residents receive the highest quality care.
